Maersk litteraly saved me from having to sell my motorcycle in Argentina, when they offered me to sail it back to Germany for free. I thought Mearck would be a large slow organization, but boy was I wrong. Everything went super smooth and I even got a tour on the container ship from the captain. I have had a bunch of problems with my teeth over the years and had a lot of different dentists. But now I have finally found a great dentist who have made a good plan for me AND he even reduced a bill for me when I told him I was going on this around the world trip. Integrity vs. Sponsors
Anyone who have ever sold anything knows it’s much easier to sell a great product you love, than a average product you don’t like. And trying to sell the product you don’t like is rarely worth you time.
Anders Around The World is my personal project and I am personally paying the bills. I have still chosen to take on some sponsors to try to cover some costs, but only under certain conditions. 1) I do not make promises of positive reviews or gear or service I get. If something sucks it sucks and I don’t claim otherwise.
To have sponsors and claim to be independent might sound like an oxymoron, but I believe the most important this a small fish like me have is my own integrity and your trust. The second I compromise those I am finished. That’s also why I have already turned sponsors away, who had products I did not like, so please fell confident that the opinions in my videos are my own and no ones elses. All the sponsors I accept are sponsors with products and services I really like and would probably use anyways.
If you have a problem with this approach and thinks this speech is a bullshit, I’d love to hear from you so I can convince you otherwise. Best Anders;-)
